I should really change my picture
Friday, April 27, 2007
Since I joined Facebook, I've been neglecting blogger... sorry blogger.
I've run a few more races and I've actually come in first in my age/gender category for both the 5K and 8K portions of the ENDURrace at RIM park. This got me 3 medals. One for each race and one for my combined results. I'm very happy with that.
I've got the Kitchener Downtown Mudpuppy Chase next weekend. I'm looking forward to running in that race. I'll be doing the 5K.
Today is Zoë's 3rd birthday! Everyone sing/say "Happy Birthday" to my kitty. :) I'll take a birthday picture of her tonight and post it.
Ryan and I are going to Las Vegas in 20 days!!!! Yay! We're taking an extra long May 2-4 this year and heading down there. We're even flying out of Kitchener, which makes it extra exciting.
I'm sure there are more things new with me... but I should get back to work now

One Last Christmas Party

Ryan's work Christmas party was this past weekend.. yes.. it IS after Christmas, but it's definitely easier to get more people to attend when most of the festivities are already over.
So, as always, here are some pictures!
There were drinks...

There was dancing...

There were 3 plates of dessert consumed by yours truly...

Running for the Cure

This year, on Sunday, October 1st, I will be running the 5K in the CIBC Run for the Cure. It will be my first official run and is for a great cause.
I am one of 170,000 participants who will all be walking or running on
Sunday, October 1st. Here's where I ask for your help/support... Your donation will be added to the critical funds raised by the Run, and will be directed towards research, education and awareness programs.
Please don't feel any pressure to sponsor me/donate, but if you wish to support this cause, please visit the following link:
Click here to sponser me in this run.
The online donating tool is quick, easy and secure. You can pay by credit card and within 30 minutes, you will receive a tax receipt for any donation that has been successfully received.
Apparently I've been lacking in the posting again
I GOT THE KEYTAR! Yep. It's true. I'm the proud owner of a Yamaha Keytar! I'll post a picture of me with the instrument soon.
Ryan and I had a week of vacation in August. We didn't go anywhere far, but stayed in Niagara-on-the-Lake for a night and stayed in Niagara Falls for two nights. It was a nice week away from work. We bought a lot of wine and saw lots of cheesy tourists. :)
Went camping this past weekend (labour day weekend) with the family at Silver Lake Provincial Park. We had a nice group of 13 people on 4 sites. We just got a new tent, too, so we got to use it for the first time. The weekend was good, but it rained a lot.
That's what I can think of for now..... I'll post pictures soon, I promise.

Signs from Signs
This was a new experience for me. So far in my life, signs haven't provided me with many inspirational messages besides suggestions such as "stop" or "avoid the falling rocks" or "you'll get a big fine if you get caught driving 140 on the 401."
Maybe this will all change now.
The message was so presise, so clear, so fitting...

Rock on, Rockton.
Rock on.
